Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Recenterly ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Recenterly app and website (the "Service"). If you have questions, email us at support@recenterly.app.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, and (if you sign in with Google/Apple) the basic profile info those providers return.
- Usage data: work sessions, reset completions, snooze/skip counts, preferred mode and reminder interval — used to run the product features you see.
- Feedback: anything you submit via the Report a Problem form, including optional email and browser info.
- Billing data: if you subscribe to Pro, Stripe (our payment processor) handles your card details. We only store your Stripe customer ID, subscription status, and renewal date — never card numbers.
- Push notifications: if you enable push reminders, we store the browser push subscription token required to deliver them.
- Analytics: aggregated visit counts, page views, country, device type, and referral source. No personally identifying tracking.
2. How we use it
- To run the Service (sessions, reminders, history, billing).
- To send transactional emails (welcome, password reset, feedback confirmation, Pro receipt).
- To improve the product based on aggregated usage and feedback.
- To prevent abuse (rate limiting, fraud protection).
We do not sell your personal data. We do not run advertising on Recenterly.
3. Third parties we share with
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Google / Apple — optional sign-in.
- Lovable Cloud — our hosting, database, and email infrastructure provider.
- Analytics provider — privacy-friendly aggregate analytics (no cross-site tracking).
Each provider only receives the minimum data needed to deliver its function.
4. Cookies and local storage
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries that are strictly necessary to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (theme, last session mode). We also use a privacy-friendly analytics cookie that counts visits without identifying you personally. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
5. Data retention
We keep your account and usage history for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal or accounting reasons (e.g. Stripe payment records).
6. Your choices
- You can update your profile and notification preferences in Settings.
- You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from Settings → Billing.
- You can request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing support@recenterly.app.
- You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails using the link in any email we send.
California residents: you have the right to know, delete, and opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share your personal information.
7. Children
Recenterly is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Authentication, database access, and payment data are handled by industry-standard providers (Lovable Cloud, Stripe). No system is 100% secure, but we apply reasonable safeguards.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
